A Pass Biography – Bagonza Alexander born December 21, 1989, in Kampala, Uganda is a singer-songwriter. A Pass has enjoyed tremendous success on both the Reggae and Dancehall music charts. He is a highly versatile dancehall reggae artiste who performs four different genres of music. A Pass grew up in Kampala, where he was raised by his father and mother, and began singing in church as a child. The vocal talents of A Pass have been noted since his humble beginnings.
A Pass was inspired to become a musician by the songs he used to listen to in his father’s car. Among others, A Pass’ parents have been the source of his motivation in pursuing his musical ambitions. However, it was in High School that his love for music was developed and nurtured. He recorded his first song “Proud to be saved” at the age of 14, and his next song “Love is a beautiful thing” at the age of 19. Since then he has never turned back and has been quietly recording and archiving his music.
A Pass music is fast gaining popularity with hits such as “WUUYO”, “TULI KUBIGERE”, “AM LOVING” & “MUMPULIRA” dominating the Ugandan airwaves as the some of the most frequently requested songs on the popular radio stations such as Sanyu FM, Capital FM and Radio City. His popularity and musical talent has attracted collaborations from other artistes such as Patrobas (My Flair), Ekky (Troube Maker), Mun G, Dj Crim and Patrobas (Teacher), Don MC and Cindy (Am Loving – Remix), Tasha Batabazi (Amatu Maggale), which is doing very well on iTunes. International collaborations include So African ft AY from Tanzania, A.I.P CYPHER (Jamaica), Navy Kenzo (We Do Work) from Tanzania.
