Eddy Kenzo Biography : – In today’s Know-Your-Star episode, we bring you Eddy Kenzo. To support and show love to a brother who will be launching his Kamunguluze album today at Kyadondo, we make an effort to bring him closer to you by giving you an insight into his background. We bring you part of his biography today.
Musuuza Edrisa best known as Eddy Kenzo, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artistes around East Africa was born in Masaka (Uganda).
Throughout his school times, he was an active member of his school’s soccer team and Music club.
After his high school, KENZO as his new stage name and a passion for making music with the God-given talent, he got into the studio to hone his craft.
He continued to develop both as a Singer and Songwriter by working under some of Uganda’s biggest Musical names such as Bobi wine, Paddy Man, Tony Houls, Nubian Lee, Mikie Wine and many others.
Over the next few years his talent as a Singer and Songwriter became evident after his “Yanimba” song featuring Mikie Wine.
2010 would prove to be Kenzo’s break-out year with his song “STAMINA (Kabuna mawanga)” on the talk. Stamina drew major attention from music fans over his distinct voice, singing style, dances and penchant for great songwriting which even attracted President of Uganda (Yoweri Museveni) to use it as his theme song during his presidential campaigns of 2011.
Since then his extremely good talent has set him as one of the top East African artistes. He has a number of great songs like Bolingo,Ogenda Kunzisa , Kamunguluze, No one like you , Abatusabira, Hustle, Stress Free, Zoom Zoom, Mudenke Numbe, Nze asinga, Kyo Missing, Super Power plus many more collaborations.
